Make That Chrome Shine!

Here's some help for making the Venture look like new again. You know that faded yellow looking chrome on the forks, handle bars, lower case covers and valve covers? We'll I have found the answer to making them shine again with out having to spend a lot of money to have them rechrome.

The solution is really easy. Go to your local hardware store and purchase a little 0000 steel wool and a product call "GOOOFF"(it comes in a yellow can). Rub over the part you are working on with the steel wool (your part should turn to a powder white color) then apply the Goooff rubbing that on litely. allowed to set in for a minute or so then rub the part with a piece the steel wool, this is going to take a couple of doings. Then follow up after the piece is done with a good chrome cleaner like "Never Dull" and ta-da you got a shiny new part.

The only set back to doing this is now you will have a lot more chrome to clean but what the hell its going to look like a million bucks. I hope this piece of info help others that are proud of their Ventures like I am !
