Anti-dive Systems Clarified

There seems to be some confusion about how the anti-dive systems work on Ventures. The 83-85 had anti-dive valves that were activated by the brake fluid pressure that is also connected to each side's calipers. On these bikes there is an adjustment screw that controls the point where the anti-dive starts to function. Some complained about the spongy brakes on the early Ventures, so when the 86 (and later) bikes came out, they had anti-dive valves that were electrically operated. The brake master cylinders are connected only to the calipers on these bikes......Frank Denk
