OK....this is what you guys have been waiting for...I took a lot of side by side pics comparing a 1988 Venture vs 1999 Vmax intake system! (see below for DIR of files, detailed huge pics)

Now....how do I wire this up?

The package!:

I have got the vmax intakes with butterflys, cable, servo and control box...looks like there are only three wires!

Just want to make sure how I should wire this up...

Wires at the connector are orange, white and black.

Also can I swap out to the vmax coils and brackets? Since I will be installing a gel battery and relocating it forward and flat also are the 99 vmax coil wires better? I also have the vac. timing module...should be the same? Can I use any of the other items on my Venture...see DIR for sale items for more pics of wiring loom.

I also took a butt load of pics of side by side of my 1988 venture and 1999 vmax intake system!

You cannot just throw the parts on and make more power. And only having it work at Wide Open. This is not going to work properly. The Vmax was designed with the main jets to match the Vboost opening(6000+ w/9500redline). Which way will you need to jet? I do not know which way? Maybe down because now you are filling each cylinder from 2 carbs. The cylinder can only digest so much mixture. Remember the Vmax cams and valve springs are different for higher rpms. Another guy did what you are trying. I don't remember his name. His bike did make a few more hp. a bit higher up past 7k than a stock one. I recommend a K&N filter too. Get the boost to open at about 4500-5000 and I think that may be best. That's when the mains start. - Jasonm

As far as the Jetting I already have that covered as I have a full set of sizers and reamers from my VW dual carb days...I also have a LM1 which is a wide band 02 tuning meter...so tuning should not be an issue...nice thing about it is I can just leave the vboost off unil I get it dialed in

I also found this on the internet on the vmax site: Make your own Tboost modification...and how to wire it up!

Having it kick in at 3000 rpms would not be a good idea as it would also be on while cruising down the road at anything above 60mph!? Was thinking an adjustable Hobs vacuume switch could be used so it would not fully kick in unless at WOT or or somthing like 5 inches or maybe a bit less...

Gee no one even mention anything about all the hard work I did posting the pics above

Oh...Jet size from Mikuni to Dynojet chart:

Lots of neat stuff on this site! Gee Vmax guys even like to install Venture parts on their rids...rear diff swap
