Lowering The Height

I have a problem with the height of my newly acquired 1983 Venture. I'm 5' 2" tall, I've always had a problem with my bikes being too tall. Most of the time I cut the seat down and lower the shocks. Recently I've been able to buy low profile tires. Can you give me any tips as far as lowering the bike,i.e. tires, shocks etc. I ordered a Corbin seat that they told me would lower me down 2" but it wasn't any better than the stock seat.....

Dave, best thing is already done with trying to get a seat. I guess you could get someone to lower the forks by letting them slide up further thru the crown but I am not sure if that is possible. Also just ride with the minimum amount of air in the rear shock. Can't offer more than these ideas. .........Hank Yerger
