Protecting The CB

I OWN A 1990 VENTURE ROYALE WITH 58K ON THE CLOCK. I HAD SOMETHING INTERESTING HAPPEN ON A RECENT TRIP. THE RADIO, CB AND CASSETTE PLAYER ALL STOPPED AT ONCE AND BEGAN TO BLOW FUSES. ON CLOSER INSPECTION I DISCOVERED THE METAL BRACKET THAT HOLDS THE RADIO COMPONENTS IN THE LEFT FARING COMPARTMENT HAD BROKEN, DUE TO VIBRATION AND THE ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS WERE LOOSE AND BEING SHAKEN TO DEATH IN THE LEFT FARING COMPARTMENT. THE BRACKET HAD TO BE WELDED AND I FILLED THE BOTTOM VOID OF THE FARING COMPARTMENT WITH PACKING FOAM TO LESSEN THE VIBRATION ON THE THESE DELICATE COMPONENTS. .............Curtis Braziel -
