Hi, I have a 2000 Royal Star Venture and was wondering if anyone has used a sears motorcycle jack with their bike. I got one for Christmas and didnt know how compatibe it was with the bike?
Thank You for your reply!

Garold,

The sears and similar lifts like the one made by Lorin will lift on the motor. One way around this is to use hard rubber hockey pucks between the lift arms and the bike frame. This will prevent the lift arms from contacting the engine.

You will need to cut a notch in one puck to prevent it from harming the sidestand switch.

I have used the lift with these pucks many times and it works great. Below are some pictures to better illustrate how I use them. Gary
